Trailing spaces in the instance name lead to unexpected behavior

Symptoms

Trailing spaces in the "Name" field can result in:

• ServiceControl Management Utility freezing
• Trailing periods in the instance name

Expected behavior

Any data entered in the name field should be trimmed of trailing whitespace or have the trailing whitespace excluded.

Who's affected

Anyone using trailing spaces in the instance name.

Root cause

The instance name was not cleared of trailing spaces before applying name sanitization.
