Doesn't work on Linux Mint 22.1

Doesn't work on Linux Mint 22.1, Cinnamon v6.4.8, Linux kernel v6.8.0-63-generic x86_64.

When run from desktop nothing happens.

When run from terminal, this is the error message:

Traceback (most recent call last): File "/tmp/.mount_Linux_AFy85E/usr/bin/linux_cru", line 2, in <module> import tkinter as tk ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'tkinter'

Same on Arch.

To work around, in Linux Mint 22.1, from the Cinnamon desktop:

1. open Software Manager,
2. type 'tkinter' in the top search box,
3. choose "Python3-tk" package
4. install it

Run Custom Resolution Utility.

What you have to do is to install dependencies:

sudo pacman -Syyu
sudo pacman -S tk
sudo pacman -S imagemagick

And if you want to compile:

sudo pacman -S python311
sudo pacman -S python

Also, on fresh install you need fuse:

sudo pacman -S fuse

Don't know which is good, but the first is necessary to run it without compiling.

xorg-server-utils -is obsolete, or there is no need for it (to simply run it), or there are no packages (I don't know).

Doesn't work for me either on CachyOS (Arch). Running the .AppImage directly does nothing, and in the console I get this message even after installing all the dependencies listed in the message above :

Yes, for me, it doesn't work either from downloaded AppImage, but when I compile it it works:

It did compile for me and then I could runn compilled AppImage:

1. Installed dependencies:

sudo pacman -S tk
sudo pacman -S imagemagick

sudo pacman -S python311
sudo pacman -S python

2. Did instructions for compilation:

git clone https://github.com/PhialsBasement/linux-cru.git
cd linux-cru


chmod +x build_appimage.sh

./build_appimage.sh

3. After it compiled without error I ran it:

chmod +x Linux_CRU-x86_64.AppImage
./Linux_CRU-x86_64.AppImage

Also running CachyOS.

**Update for new CachyOS or ArchLinux install:
First install fuse:

sudo pacman -S fuse

Then proceed as instructed.

Thanks, it does work just fine when I compile it myself, don't know what's wrong with the precompiled AppImage.
