HELLO protocol while browsing list fails to notify user

Given

• the contact list is browsed
• a new contact is initiated through the HELLO protocol

Then

• no notification is produced
• the contact list does not update

Expected outcome

• either the contact list should update, and/or
• a notification should be produced
