Different reports for 1 dataset

First of all many thanks for this module! Works great for csv files and I am able to collect data via the REST API.

Is it possible to filter the data in the graph to display only the latest day(s) or hour(s) or group them per hour/day/week/...?

How is it possible to remove older data stored in internal tables? They can grow realy fast and I don't want to show them all at the same time.

Several different views of the same data would be great!

Deletion:
the manual datainput is also a deletion frontend. it supports * wildcards since the last release. did you try this already?

Filters
Yes - thats a todo. I like the intuitive searchbox in the datatable. but linking this to the chart will be difficult. So my first step will be input boxes per dimension which would filter the selection in the backend.
second step would be perhaps even dropdowns with all distinct values. I have to see.
what is your suggestion?

yes, thats a good point. besides a filter section I will need a UI section for the graph to tweak some visuals. in the second step the UI settings would need to be written back to the server to have them available again next time.

Deletion:
doing it manually is the second best option ;)
I like to configure things one time and throw them out of mind then.

Filters:
same as above. If I can define different views to my data in the configuration I only have to think one time and can look at them as I want every time i view them.

Timeline:
same here too. For me it is enought to define several views (e.g. hour, day, week, month, year, all) one time and see with on click what I want to see. Would be great if I can set one of the views as default and can switch them easyly.

Sharing one view of my data will make it easier to show other people what I really want to show theme. As example my data can start years ago, but relevant data to share are only the last weeks.

At the moment I have the data in an MySQL database an have views for last 2 days, week, 2 weeks, 30 days and one view where I can define the range myself.
95 % I need last 2 days to see what is going on at the moment. Define date range myself I need once a year to analyse special cases :)
I want to replace the system (and add a lot of other data) to have all of my data in NextCloud.

lets talk about the Timeline as an example. I would like to know how you want to use it, to find a good solution.

there are 2 ways to do a filter/display option like hour/day:

1. In the Report definition (Settings in the sidebar on the right). then it will be fixed for the report
2. As a selection in the chart. Then the user can change the display. It could be possible to "remember" the setting until the next open

But 1.) is a per-report-setting. this would mean yo would need to share 3 different reports to your users which would not work because every report has his own dataset

2.) would be the way to go, but the user would be able to change the default-setting. But then you can only share one default-view because the share is implemented on report-level

you know what I mean?
how is your expectation?

I think it would be necessary to split the definition of the data source and the view(s) of them:

data-collector ---API---> data source
                           |---> view 1 (last hour) ---> share with production
                           |---> view 2 (last day)
                           |---> view 3 (customer 4712) ---> share with account manager
                           |---> view 4 (2019) ---> share with management
                           |---> view 5 (selection in the chart)

easy to use, hard to implement?! ;)

ok, that would be option 3 in my comments: Sharing report(filter)states.
that will require some steps in the roadmap

1. enable report filtering
2. storing different filters in a report (aka "favorites" or "preset" in other reporting tools)
3. linking filters to links (currently only 1:1 per report)
