Cooking Assistant Task (new HRI)

I would like to propose the following Scenario for an HRI Task. Not necessarily for this year, but maybe the year after:

Cooking Assistant
Goal: Human and Robot should prepare a simple meal together. The focus is to make the interactions between the human user and the robot more intuitive and natural. This means:

• The human user can point at something, maybe say "give me that" and the robot has to hand over the object
• The human user should be able to say "please pour the milk into the bowl" and the robot would do so. The novelty here is that the human user is holding the bowl while the robot is doing so.
• Mixing: The human is holding the bowl, while the robot picks up a tool e.g. a whisk or similar, and then stirs inside the bowl.

There could be various simple dishes to choose from, but in the end, it boils down to having the human and robot be really close when interacting, and really collaborating on achieving the goal.

I am also in touch with HRI people from my university and will try to incorporate their input on this, so that we can properly define what good HRI is, and get input from the experts in the field on this.
