Welcome to the Home-Assistant-Config-2 wiki!

I wanted to document my configuration in order to be able to remember how things are done if I forget it (very likely), and perhaps someone else can make use of it.

Some of it is easy, other things are a bit more complicated to get the head around.

I use packages to split my configuration into separate files.
This can be a bit confusing at first, but makes a lot of sense once you get it. I will make a wiki page about this when I have the time.

I recently discovered that you can write the configuration for your dashboards in yaml, and split the different views and cards into separate files. With a few custom integrations, you can even make template cards and pass data to them. That way you don't need to make a lot of similar cards with only a few differences.
