Sometimes it gets stuck before the API call.

I've observed this in the first image below multiple times. After a new subtask starts and reads a document file, it gets stuck there and won't continue working. When I cancel and then click "resume task," it rereads the file and continues working.

The second image below also shows it getting stuck during some file editing; it neither fails nor succeeds, just keeps spinning.

Summarizing the process in both images, it seems to be stuck during the tool call (reading or editing a file).

This doesn't happen with every tool call, but it occurs after each large task has been running for a while, perhaps ten minutes or so, and then it gets stuck there. This problem has persisted for about a week. I don't encounter this problem when I revert to v3.34.1; I don't know if there are higher versions that work correctly.

• Could you share any error logs from the Developer Console (Help > Toggle Developer Tools > Console) when the tool gets stuck? This would help identify if there are any JavaScript errors or timeout messages.
• When the tool gets stuck, does it happen with specific file types or sizes? Or is it random across all file operations?
• Are you able to reproduce this more reliably with any specific sequence of actions, or is it purely time-based (after ~10 minutes)?
• Does the issue occur with other API providers/models, or only with MiniMax-M2-Stable?
• When it gets stuck, does the VS Code status bar show any indication of what operation is in progress?

Additionally, if possible, could you:

1. Enable verbose logging (if available in settings) and capture the logs when it gets stuck
2. Check if there are any network errors in the Network tab of Developer Tools when the hang occurs

Same here, it gets stuck before the API call. Also using MiniMax M2. Tried switching to Qwen Code, but also fails, looks like it's not model related.
