Should the specification have an non-normative section on the mapping to Schema.org?

Ref DCAT v2 that has a section specifying how the vocabulary maps to Schema.org, is this something we should also add to the STIRData data-specification, in order to make it easier to combine/interpret the STIRData data in relation to existing data using Schema.org?

The EBG data model - base of the STIRData model - already reuses parts of schema.org. However, there could definitely be a more complete mapping.
This mapping could also be materialized in the datasets.

Another point regarding this is that it seems that the Core Vocabularies community seems to dislike reuse of schema.org in core vocabularies because of its origin - American companies, and because of different maintenance policies.
