Adding multiple users

Can I add 10 users at a time and only need to restart the service once?

CLI

Batch add (single restart):

mtproxymax secret add-batch user1 user2 user3 user4 user5 user6 user7 user8 user9 user10

Batch remove (single restart):

mtproxymax secret remove-batch user1 user2 user3 user4 user5 user6 user7 user8 user9 user10

For scripting, you can also use the --no-restart flag on individual add/remove commands:

mtproxymax secret add user1 --no-restart
mtproxymax secret add user2 --no-restart
mtproxymax secret add user3
# only the last one triggers a restart

Interactive Menu (TUI)

Run mtproxymax and go to Secret Management:

[1] Add new secret
[2] Remove a secret
[3] Rotate a secret
[4] Enable/disable a secret
[5] Set user limits
[6] Batch add secrets        ← NEW
[7] Batch remove secrets     ← NEW
[0] Back

Options [6] and [7] will prompt you to enter labels separated by spaces (e.g. user1 user2 user3 user4 user5), then apply all changes with a single restart.

If possible, please add key --no-restart for "mtproxymax secret setlimit "$new_user" ips 10"

Done! --no-restart is now supported for setlimit and setlimits as well.

mtproxymax secret setlimit alice ips 10 --no-restart
mtproxymax secret setlimit alice conns 100 --no-restart
mtproxymax secret setlimit bob ips 5
# only the last one triggers a restart

Or set all limits at once:

mtproxymax secret setlimits alice 100 10 5G 2026-12-31 --no-restart
