This is a really neat short summary, but I wonder if we need to make more of a noise about it.
( I also appreciate that we also need an in-depth discussion somewhere, but this is definitely not that )
More recently, we have been using "Release Highlights" : e.g. https://scitools-iris.readthedocs.io/en/latest/whatsnew/3.0.html?highlight=highlights
Maybe we could use something more like that ?
