Did you write both?
Because, for some reason, the Codepen's engine is bigger, and also much more stable than this one (that's especially true when we try to render a pile of cubes).
I'm trying to learn how to make a stable engine in JS and I'd love to see the source code of your Codepen demo available on Github, if that's possible.
