This change removes unnecessary console.log statements from packages/core/src/tools/edit.ts in the shouldConfirmExecute method. These logs were used to display error messages when preparing an edit for confirmation. Since shouldConfirmExecute is a pre-execution check, and the actual execute method also performs these checks and returns a structured ToolResult containing the error details, these logs were redundant and created unwanted console noise.

Key changes:

  • Removed console.log when calculateEdit throws an error.
  • Removed console.log when editData contains a calculated error.
  • Cleaned up an unused errorMsg constant.

Verification:

  • Manually verified that the console.log calls were removed using read_file.
  • Code review confirmed the changes are correct and follow best practices for core library code.
  • Attempted to run tests, but the environment lacked vitest and had network restrictions; however, the change is a safe code health improvement that doesn't affect functional logic.

Removed console.log statements in the shouldConfirmExecute method of EditToolInvocation in packages/core/src/tools/edit.ts. These logs were used for error reporting but are redundant as errors are properly surfaced during execution or returned via ToolResult. This improves the codebase by removing side effects from core library logic.
