When someone fills out an event registration that asks for their mobile number, it is disabling their ability to receive text messages.
Actual Behavior
When someone fills out an event registration that asks for their mobile number, it is disabling their ability to receive text messages.
Expected Behavior
Event registrations should either allow you to ask for the user to select whether messaging is enabled or it should not change the setting.
Steps to Reproduce
- Go to Event Registration.
- Create an event registration that asks for a mobile number
- Fill it out for someone who has messaging enabled
- Look at their record and see it has been turned off
- Look at their history and see that it was done at the same time they filled out the registration.

- Perform a search on the Github Issues to see if your bug is already reported.
- Reproduced the problem on a fresh install or on the demo site.
