Alerting only when we check for repo's

Description

• We fire the other method too often resulting in a large amount of error messages. Switching so that we only alert them when they focus the codex tab which is when the information is important.

Type of Change

• Tech Debt (refactoring, unit tests, CI changes, pre-commit hooks, etc)
• Bug fix (non-breaking change which fixes an issue)
• New feature (non-breaking change which adds functionality)
• Breaking change (fix or feature that would cause existing functionality to not work as expected)
