Respondent DB architecture

• Respondents should be a custom post type.
• Respondent details (contact info, etc.) should be stored as post meta to the respondent.
• Respondent <-> thread association should be stored as post meta to the thread, just storing the post_id of the respondent, and then querying for that post_id for the display of the respondent details.
• If the respondent is an existing user on the site SupportPress is running on, his/her user_id should also be stored as post meta to the respondent.

I like this idea, although I'd love to see some code around it before committing to it. I haven't yet seen a successful post2post implementation that doesn't include a custom table (my own code included)
