The Asset Management module of ESP is designed with the Event Staff perspective in mind.

Assets can be classified in a few different ways in ESP:

Asset - A Singular serialized, or asset tagged piece of equipment to be assigned by itself Example: Credit Card Reader

Asset Groups - A group of Serialized or Tagged Assets designed for a single assigned purpose. Example: A group named "Registration System 1" Contains (Credit Card Reader, Laptop, Cash Drawer, Extension Cord, Surge Strip)

Another group named "Large Panel Room 1" Contains (Yamaha Speaker kit, Shure Microphone, 1/8" Cable, XLR Cable, Viewsonic Projector, VGA Cable, HDMI Cable, Extension Cord, Surge Strip, projector screen)

Library - Assets can be assigned to a Library for intra-room checkouts Example: Tabletop Gaming checks out a copy of Munchkin to Attendee Bill. This transaction is logged for auditing, and reporting.

Checking In or Returning assigned assets is also audited, and has an Exception process for lost, stolen or damaged assets for reporting and notifications.

Asset Management also has capabilities for Non Serialized Consumables. Examples of this would be Gaff Tape, Printer Paper, Painter's Tape, etc. Logging the usage of this will allow for better planning and determining run rate of your consumable goods, as well as who is using them.
