Premium users change their nick and lose their account

What behaviour is observed:

When premium users change their nick they cannot access their account. When they try to log in, they are asked to enter their password and the old nick is displayed instead of the new one.

What behaviour is expected:

It should recognize the account, changing to the new user's nick and that the user can enter without placing a password.
