Description
I've proposed on 2024-10-08 that if the CG agrees that there's a vote to move this proposal to phase 2. The phase 2 entry requirements are:
- Precise and complete overview document is available in a forked repo around which a reasonably high level of consensus exists.
- Updates to the actual spec document, test suite, and reference interpreter are NOT yet required.
The main purpose of the meeting will be to achieve the point of "reasonably high level of consensus". My plan would be to start landing support for this proposal in tools like LLVM, wasm-tools, and Wasmtime once it reaches phase 2.
Perhaps the main question I'm seeking to address is the overflow-flags-vs-128-bit-add question. That seemed like one of the bigger questions at the last meeting and is something I plan on dedicating time to discussing what's been investigated and the results in the meantime. In other words I plan to mostly summarize #18 and have discussion around it.
I'm opening this issue ahead of time in case anyone would like to discuss anything ahead of time or such before the meeting.
