I have learned that there are use cases where there are multiple In that case, one block cannot have multiple Personally, I feel that this migration would be burdensome for the developer. |

What & Why?
This may be a little controversial. The
multilineprop was deprecated in #43613, but we do nothing more than logging a warning message and posting a dev note. Normally deprecated code lingers around in Gutenberg for a very long time. For this prop, my hope is that we don't have to keep it around for more that two WordPress releases, so I think some additional measures are in order.This PR disables creating new lines for multiline rich text instances, which hopefully pushes plugin authors to switch over to blocks quicker. You won't be able to create new paragraphs by pressing Enter. Instead, it will insert a line break (
<br>). You can still edit as HTML and insert another paragraph there if you really need to.Normal editing keeps working of course, only Enter is affected.
