Dropping support for PHP 7.2 and 7.3

See the recent make.wordpress.org blog post. Based on the plugin policy we can also drop support for php 7.2 and php 7.3 in an upcoming release.

Proposed Solution

• Upgrade minimum required php version
• Check Code if some legacy code can be dropped as well

The plugin supports the current major version and one prior, so we'd need to wait until WP 7.1 when the plugin's minimum supported version would then be WP 7.0 before we could update PHP version support.
