'Solving environment' never stops

Description of the bug

I want to install DRAM (v1) on a server. I am following the instructions from github:

wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/WrightonLabCSU/DRAM/master/environment.yaml
conda env create -f environment.yaml -n DRAM

I tried several times, up to 24h, however, the installation is never finished and shows "Solving environment". In the meantime, I installed other software using conda. Could the environment.yaml be the culprit here?

I would appreciate any help here. Thanks in advance!

We aren't supporting DRAM1 anymore with a full planned release of DRAM2 this summer. I haven't tried to create a DRAM1 environment in a long time. My only thoughts are to use a newer version of conda with the libmamba solver, which is default in conda 23.10.0 or an option with conda 22.11. Or I have heard good things about Pixi as a newer alternative to conda. Or try installing DRAM2 or waiting for DRAM2 release.
