I was trying to remember what the project you were recommending over Xeact was, and for whatever reason https://xeiaso.net/blog/incredible-xeact-journey/ doesn't have quite as much Google juice. Can you add a link to it to the README or something?
(And thank you for the recommendation - what I was actually trying to figure out is what the non-build-step alternatives to JSX are these days, and Preact's tutorial has good answers.)
