Idea: Backport pyscard fix to 1.x

e2eb7d4 fixed an issue with using a pyscard API that apparently was not supposed to be public, sadly the change is only in 2.0.0 causes dependency chains to become kinda annoying, and having a 1.x release with this fix would be useful for those who need to stay on 1.x for whatever reason a bit longer.

The incompatibility is unfortunate, but I don't think we're likely to backport this fix to 1.x. Migrating to 2.x should be quite straightforward, and if that is something that for whatever reason cannot be done, then you should stick with an older version of pyscard as well.
