Checking a single file produces errors on all links.

I have two markdown files. When I use checkref on a single file, it tells me that the linked file is not found. Would you consider adding a command-line option to enable checking links that are local using something like fs.stat()? Maybe another option that lets you check HTTP URIs as well?
