file selection marker does not disappear when image is renamed

When and image in view is renamed such that it's file extension is broken and there is no file open in the working set then the file selection in the project tree is not cleared.

Steps to repro

1. make sure you have no files in working set.
2. select an image to view.
3. rename image such that it's file extension will no longer be recognized by brackets, ie, change jpg to jp

result: the file selection in the file tree is not cleared, even though no file is displayed.

This seems to have been magically fixed by merging file watchers. Closing
