What package is missing from Amazon Linux 2023? Please describe and include package name.
The postfix package in Amazon Linux 2023 is currently available at version 3.7.2 (e.g. 2:3.7.2-4.amzn2023.0.5 in AL2023.9 snapshots).
Is this an update to existing package or new package request?
This is an update to an existing package (postfix), requesting availability of a newer upstream Postfix version. As of December 2025 Postfix has got version up to 3.10.7. Here's a list of releases they had (3.8,3.9,3.10) so far
Is this package available in Amazon Linux 2? If it is available via external sources such as EPEL, please specify.
Amazon Linux 2 also ships older Postfix versions and does not provide newer upstream releases. Newer Postfix versions are not available via supported external repositories such as EPEL for Amazon Linux.

Postfix latest versions includes many of bug fixes, improvements and feature supports like TLSRPT (RFC-8460) integration, DNS SRV lookups, logging has improved and many more .
