Click Through Not Working As Expected

I  would expect once I enable the click through it would allow me to click the pause and it would pass to the app being controlled.

When clicking the native pip window pauses, but my podcast app keeps playing. Then the pip app freezes where I can not get the menu from the normal app and have to close and reopen for normal operation.
