Description

I can complete the GitHub authentication flow for the Copilot provider without any errors.
However, when I try to use any Copilot model in OpenCode, I receive the following message:
Please reauthenticate with the copilot provider to ensure your credentials work properly with OpenCode.
Other providers such as Google and OpenAI work normally, so the issue seems isolated to Copilot.

Has there been a fix or workaround for this yet? I am also having this 'Please reauthenticate with the copilot provider to ensure your credentials work properly with OpenCode.' issue but only in the desktop app. I also notice not all of my Copilot models are showing up. This is not happening in the web ui or the TUI, all models are showing and I do not see the 'reauthenticate' message. This only started happening on desktop when I updated from v1.1.21 to v1.1.25.

I am also seeing this message. I have tried re-authenticating multiple times to no avail. I am using the TUI on Arch. I also tried in the web UI and got the same message

Copilot works in other tools, but not Opencode. It is definitely an Opencode problem, and not a Copilot problem for me.

Same problem here. Have tried "opencode auth logout" and logged back in. Also tried reinstalling opencode. No luck. Github Copilot doesnt work at all for me.

experiencing the same issues as described by @kumakura-023 . up until last week i was on assignment with a copilot seat which worked just fine with opencode (tui) - i had to sign up with a new account which was invited to the company's github org. now i'm trying to use copilot seat from another org using this account which is part of 3 orgs in total of which only one is offering a copilot seat. models show up fine in tui, copilot cli works fine. Reviews the org's settings multiple times all looks good to me.

This is the error i'm seeing:

EDIT:

After pretty much reviewing all copilot related settings on the organisation, logging in and out multiple times, turns out my github account was restricted in some fashion or capacity. I created a ticket explaining this issue and received response:

Opencode is now an officially supported third-party tool for GitHub Copilot. Our detection systems are still catching up with this recent change, which is why your account was flagged. I apologize for the inconvenience.
 
I have gone ahead and lifted the restriction on your account.
 
Can you please make sure you're using the latest version of Opencode? Please use v1.1.21 or later, which has official Copilot support. Newer versions are less likely to trigger our detection systems.

Somehow I could still use copilot for some time, until i nuked all tokens including from mac os keychain, signed in again and then I could not even list models without being presented with a 403. If you have been a long time user of opencode there's a risk that your account too is "flagged".

I've used Copilot extensively in Zed, in NeoVim, and in BoltAI, and probably others that I'm not remembering.

Sorry, I cancelled my Copilot subscription. I'm now experimenting with Codex (and using its free month of service) instead.
