Is there a way to call a custom compute function on a table.group_by aggregation? If so, what should the custom function return?

I do not see an example in the documentation.

No. Not yet. However, @vibhatha has been doing some work here I believe and has a prototype. There's still some work to do here so I'm not sure it's going to be in January's release but I would hope it could be in the following.

@workingnbar as @westonpace mentioned, there is an effort to integrate UDFs for aggregate functions. The mentioned PR is very early work to add this functionality. But the full custom function support for aggregates would be in a later release.
