Highlights

  • Iceberg View API Support and integration with REST, Nessie, JDBC catalogs. Also integrated with Spark SQL.
  • Spec addition for partition stats, multi-arg transform, nanosecond timestamp types
  • Remove support for Spark 3.2
  • Remove support for Flink 1.15 and add support for Flink 1.18
  • Support executor cache locality
  • Support Parquet and Avro file encryption.
  • Add Spark UI metrics from Iceberg scan metrics
  • Initial support for kafka connect sink

Thanks for writing up the release notes @ajantha-bhat. Next to @nastra's suggestion I have one nit, apart from that it looks good to me 👍
