Describe the bug
Auto-suggestion do not always insert suggestions on the latest character entered in Eclipse.
It works as expected in VsCode.

To Reproduce
Type characters until Q Auto-Suggestions insert a suggestion.
In many occasion, the suggestion is not entered on the latest character but a few characters before the latest breaking the flow entirely and making the auto-suggestion way less usable.

Expected behavior
The expected behavior is to always have the suggestion on the latest character being written.
When continuing to type and the suggestion doesn't match anymore, it should disappear.
When continuing to type and the new characters match the suggestion, they should simply move from grey to black color.

If this is the same issue I'm having, makes Q unusable in eclipse, also my organization cannot disable auto-correction, seems to be controlled by the administrator ?
Use case:
Strang s = "Hello world";

Double click to highlight Strang, being attempting to type String, St.. at this point Q guesses you want ..ring and if you stop right at that moment and press tab, it takes it. If you press r because you're still typing it yourself, the cursor is at the end of the line and you get:

St s = "Hello world";ring

I get the same on:
OSX Sequoia 15.6.1 (Arm M2)
Eclipse 2025-12 M2 (4.38.0 M2)
Amazon Q for Eclipse 2.5.0.202508271757

Way too often it will move the cursor back a few characters (3 or 4) or to the end of the line. This makes inline suggestions unusable.

I believe it started a couple of months ago after an update of a number of Eclipse components but I can't remember if Q was among those.

Hello, I tested the latest version of Amazon Q Developer extension with Eclipse and I can't reproduce the problem that I have reported. We can probably close this one.
