Authentication through AWS Identity Center

Describe the feature

The driver should support authentication through AWS Identity Center / Access Portal.

Use Case

The use case for this is to ease the access to RDS Postgresql on the desktop with for example Microsoft Excel and Access.

Proposed Solution

The work around now is to download the aws cli and run aws configure sso. Then each day (or whatever time you have to expiry) you need to execute aws sso login. It would be more user friendly if configuring sso could be done in the ODBC config and if the reauthentication could be done automatically if the token has expired.
