Hi! I’m Ayema, a data analyst driven by curiosity and the question “Why?”. I love going beyond the numbers to understand the real context behind them, digging into the story a dataset is trying to tell. I believe that storytelling is one of the most important parts of being a data analyst. Clear communication helps stakeholders understand what I found, why it matters, and how it can guide better decisions. One of my favorite parts of the process is creating visualizations and walking people through them in simple, clear language. Equity and impact guide my work. I care about making sure the insights I produce help create fairer, more thoughtful outcomes for the communities they affect.
- Currently working on a civic data project exploring food insecurity and food access for children living in NYC family shelters, with a focus on how neighborhood resources align with need.
- I’m diving deeper into modeling. I’m learning how to build, interpret, and evaluate different models, and how to use them to explain patterns, make predictions, and communicate insights clearly. I’ve been practicing concepts like linear regression, logistic regression, feature engineering, and understanding how model decisions are made.
