Display Issues

Hi there,
I am using Beagle Term on a Chromebook with a USB-2-Serial adapter. Beagle Term sees the adapter and is able to connect to my serial devices but I receive poor output on my display. There is an extra space and indentation to where the previous line finished which makes text hard to read. It's like there are too many line feed's and no carriage return. I have tried a Cisco router and a Dell switch with the same results. Is there anything we
can do to fix this. Thanks for the help!

This is known issue.
Beagle Term uses the hterm VT100 library from chromium. I'll update it tonight.

I updated Beagle Term, Could you manually update beagle-term to 1.2.0 and run again?

Hi Lim,
Thanks for the quick help. So you know, I uninstalled BeagleTerm and
reinstalled it from the Chrome Web store but I still get the same issue
with multiple line feeds and no carriage return. Other thoughts?

It seems that your device doesn't return Carraige Return + Line Feed when you insert 'Enter'.
I'll find a way to solve this. and If I move forward, let you know the result.

Hmm, I am using it with both a Cisco router and a Dell switch which I think
both support Carriage return and line feed. At least it works in Putty on
windows fine.

Actually the "new line" is very wide depending on Serial Device System. refer to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newline
Putty seems to have special option for that. http://the.earth.li/~sgtatham/putty/0.52/htmldoc/Chapter4.html#4.3.3
before we make an option menu, I'll provide you special version only for you.

+1 to a fix. I'm hitting the same bug on my CR-48 with a Juniper SRX. I love the app if this bug gets fixed then the app is exactly what I've been looking for on my chromebook!

Hi Lim,
No, when I use putty to connect to Cisco devices I leave everything
default. The only thing I change is the "Connection type" from SSH to
Serial.

@sunglim - Hey wait a minute... So do you think the problem is with my USB to Serial adapter? If so, can you suggest a specific brand/model of USB to serial adapter I should use for the output to work perfectly in the Beagle Term display? Thanks!

@ShannonVanWagner - No! I don't think so. I am also working with USB to Serial adaptet as a dayjob. and
usb to serial adaptor cannot be a problem, if you have proper driver for that.
I am digging into to fix it! if I can't, I'll provide special version for you
