- remove use of encrypted credentials --> use standard env variables
- cleanup config setup around emails
- add a staging environment config file
* Properly use omniauth-canvas for the login * Ensure omniauth canvas properly passes the scopes as a "top-level" query param and not in some authorization_data * ensure user_id/profile is a scope so that the 2nd part of login (fetching a token) succeeds. * this took 2 days of my life. * read the source code for open source projects.
