[Feature Request]: grpc/protobuf extension

### Feature Description

Was hoping to look into getting grpc/protobuf extension added. These are needed for most google related apis and others and without these i cannot currently use herd.

### Is this feature valuable for other users as well and why?

Will allow people using GRPC to use herd
