As discussed in #125 , we know some settings make more sense close to each other - because one sets the creation of the other, for example. I think one reasonable argument is to say "put them in the order you want them in the spec, and if you want parameter options to be interspaced with output options - too bad, you won't die", but we might consider a future optional interface_order (paralleling cli_order) - which interfaces could feel free to ignore, but ones that want to and can handle it, could.
