Can ACME's verification with HTTP or DNS be repurposed for HashBack's verification step?

ACME uses a similar "call me back" mechanism but the design is tightly focused around issuing a TLS certificate. Investigate if this mechanism could be repurposed, allowing numerous installations of ACME to be used here.
