Issue block#20: The AI was responding with markdown content instead of using the text_editor tool to write the file. Solution: Capture goose stdout, filter out session logs and ANSI codes, and write the cleaned output to validation-changes.md. The script now: 1. Runs goose and captures all output 2. Removes ANSI color codes 3. Filters out session metadata (starting session, session id, etc.) 4. Filters out tool call logs (text_editor commands) 5. Removes extra blank lines 6. Validates the output contains the expected header 7. Writes to validation-changes.md if valid This approach works around the recipe system's flexibility where the AI can choose to respond with text instead of using tools.
