get_data very slow when using label_type="name"

Describe the bug

For retrieving 786 variables x 37000 rows with get_data:

• 10s with no option
• 250s with label_type="name"

To Reproduce

Expected behavior
Time with label_type="name" should be marginally longer than without it.
