Exclude files as well as paths

I'm using Javasphinx with a Play! framework project. Play requires the use of a Global.java file, which I want to ignore. I can't do that unless I put that in a directory to exclude. I don't think this can be done using the exclude path optional argument, as it didn't work for me. Would be nice though.
