Code in ch9 does not compile because it is missing certain methods. This PR fixes that and also adds a Makefile to capture the cmds that we run for testing things at the end of the chapter.
The rest of the chapters after ch09 have the same problems. Go to my fork if this doesn't get merged and want to have a version of the project you can compile.
The tests are broken also. I haven't fixed those.
