The latest ubuntu lts release dropped recently and it would be amazing to have it in bento's repository.

Describe the Need

Generate a new release for ubuntu 26.04 lts.

Current Alternative

The current alternative is using ubuntu 24.04 lts, which is 2 years old by now.

Can We Help You Implement This

I would love to implement it myself but I haven't dived deep enough in this codebase to know if I'm able to do it. I will check it out, but if it's already in your plans I would love to support in any other way possible (testing, docs, etc).

When do you think it will be released?

I'm hoping to be able to build the boxes and release them by the end of the week or this weekend. Currently my job has me a bit busy that I haven't had the chance to work on this.

This one is fine. I wasn't able to get to building the boxes this week. I'm hoping to start on them this week now that I fixed my home lab servers. With the holiday weekend coming up in the US i'll be on a trip. I should be able to commit to having them built and published by the end of May here.
