Usability Changes in UI update

Hi Christian,

Thanks for your work on this plugin - it's been my go-to since Google Podcasts discontinued in 2024.

I just wanted to report a couple of issues with the recent UI update. Let me know if you'd prefer these to be raised as separate issues.

Theme: Default
Obsidian version: 1.10.6
Custom CSS: None
PodNotes version: 2.15.0

Queue is no longer visible

The new version places the playback queue in a small podcast-episode-list flexbox that only partially appears when the podcast player is large enough. It is not visible at all on smaller screens (e.g. laptops, phones), or if the Obsidian window isn't large enough.

Note the player has to be resized much larger for the queue to appear, and even then only one podcast is visible. The podcast title is only partially visible.

Previous Version

The podcast title is fully visible, and the queue can be viewed by scrolling down.

Hi Jack, thank you for the kind words, and for such a clear report. I’m really glad PodNotes has been useful for you!

Also: your screenshots and the specific class names made this super easy to track down. You were exactly right about what regressed in the UI update.

I’ve pushed a fix that restores the old usability:

• Queue is now always shown in the player and reachable by normal scrolling, even in small panes.
• Podcast title no longer gets crowded out or clamped; it always wraps fully and is visible with scrolling.

This is merged into master and will be included in the next release. I’m closing this as fixed, but if you notice anything still off once you update, please reply here and I’ll take another look.
