Ability to email participants filtered by submission or registration status

I would like to ask whether it is currently possible, or planned, to send emails to participants filtered by a specific status (for example: Approved, Pending, etc.).

We recently tested the email feature from the competition interface expecting that selecting a given status would restrict the recipients accordingly. However, in our tests, the message was sent to all participants, regardless of their status.

This functionality would be very helpful for competition organizers, especially when managing approvals, pending registrations, or targeted announcements that should not be sent to all teams.
