Same problem :(

When use I.waitForElement('#com.android...') return the error:

Promise was rejected with the following reason: Error: selector needs to be typeof string or function

Sorry. Looks I tried to solve one thing and broke another :(
Downgrade for now. I hope it will be solved in next release.
If you can please look into Appium helper source, maybe you could fix that by yourself and send PR!
