Description
Right now it works by looking or a change of >5% between two pixels. Then it levels off subsequent pixels until they are within 5% of the pixel where it started. This can't tell the difference between very narrow features in the PL and actual cosmic rays. Some alternate ideas are:
- Check the peak width. If it is more than 5 or so pixels wide then it isn't a cosmic ray.
- Checking for suspicious peaks (>5% change and less than 5px wide) and if one is found, retake the spectrum and check if it is still there.
These are just a couple ideas. I don't know the best way to handle them but a change would be good.
