IE 9 + 10 Bug

Hey,

if you use this great component in IE9 or 10 there is a bug.

Calling the remove method the element is hiding for 2 secounds.
During this time you cant use your website, because the overlay catches all the mouse events.

I dont have a solution for this problem.
Why do we have to wait 2 secounds before removing the element?
Removing it after ~300ms would avoid getting stressed.
