Storage on CephFS

It would be great if we could use CephFS for rootless podman storage. If I understand correctly, network file systems usually are not supported because they don't support id-mapped mounts?
It however seems that CephFS does support this: https://man7.org/linux/man-pages/man2/mount_setattr.2.html#NOTES

Would it be possible to use it as backing storage?
