Can the code under Caffe be replaced by GPU programming in MATLAB?

Because of my special needs, I can only write with MATLAB. Can I use the GPU under Matlab instead of using Caffe（Did the author find some problems which can only solved by Caffe instead of Matlab or  using Caffe for other reasons）?
